As I prepare a funeral message for a good friend who died suddenly last week I was reminded of the brevity of our lives and of the necessity of putting all our trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ.  He not only forgives all my sins but God also imputes all of His righteousness to my account.  Dr John Piper talks about this in this video.
